šŸ™  SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES
Join us each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as our church family gathers for worship, music, prayers and a Bible-based sermon. On EASTER SUNDAY, April 5, we will serve Communion, which is observed on the first Sunday of each month.  This is the Lord’s Supper and open to all.

On Sundays when Holy Communion is served, children remain in church with their families, and it is also Noisy Bucket collection day. Packets with stories, puzzles, coloring pages, etc. are available for children during the worship service.  There is a nursery for infants through preschool children.

After worship service, there will be an Easter egg hunt for the children, then come and enjoy a time of food and fellowship in Gillespie Hall.  It’s a great time to visit informally.

If you cannot attend our worship service, here is the link for the live recorded service on Community Presbyterian YouTube channel:

šŸ“– SUNDAY SCHOOL
We want our children to know of God’s love and history of interaction with humanity.  Bible stories, lessons on kindness and love, fellowship with other children and so much more are part of Sunday school for ages K-8. Children remain in church through the children’s sermon, then leave for Sunday school, except on Communion Sundays.

āœļø EASTER!
Hi Friends!

Every spring, just as the earth begins to wake from its long winter rest, the church gathers to proclaim the most astonishing truth we know: Christ is risen. Not as a metaphor, not as a memory, but as a living reality that continues to break open the world with hope.

Easter is God’s great declaration that death does not get the final word—about Jesus, about us, or about the world we inhabit. The resurrection is not only an event we celebrate; it is a life we are invited to enter. Easter calls us to new life, not someday, but now.

New life can be quiet and subtle, like that first daffodil pushing its leaves up through cold soil. It can also be bold and surprising, like the stone rolled away before anyone expected it. Sometimes new life looks like forgiveness we didn’t think was possible. Sometimes it looks like courage we didn’t know we had. Sometimes it looks like a community discovering fresh ways to love, serve, and grow together.

The good news of Easter is that God is still creating, still renewing, still calling us forward. The risen Christ meets us in the places we feel stuck, weary, or uncertain, and whispers, ā€œThis is not the end. There is more life for you yet.ā€

As a congregation, we are invited to listen for where that new life is stirring among us—where God is nudging us toward deeper compassion, wider welcome, and renewed purpose. As individuals, we are invited to trust that the Spirit is already at work within us, planting seeds of grace that will bloom in their own time.

My prayer this Easter season is that we will open our hearts to the new life God is offering. May we notice it. May we nurture it. And may we step boldly into the resurrection hope that continues to transform the world, one life at a time.

Christ is risen indeed. Alleluia!

Blessings!

šŸ· MAUNDY THURSDAY
Maundy Thursday communion service will be held on Thursday, April 2, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.  This solemn service is part of the Christian celebration of Easter and marks the night of the Last Supper as told in the Bible.

šŸ’™ ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING
During Lent we remember the love Christ shared with others.  One Great Hour of Sharing is a tradition shared by several denominations to help provide safety, substance and hope to people. Our participation not only helps those in needs but gives hope to our neighbors that even during difficult times, love remains.  We have literature and offering envelopes in the sanctuary.

ā˜•ļø HANK’S HOUR
Hank’s Hour is Tuesday, April 14, at 10 a.m. at BuzzBru. This is a time to enjoy informal conversation over your choices of beverage.  All are invited.  It’s a great time to get caught up on one another, and to bring a friend to get acquainted with other church folks.

šŸ“š BOOK CLUB
Book Club will not meet on Maundy Thursday, so the next meeting will be on Thursday, April 16 at 4 p.m., in Gillespie Hall.  We are studying Twelve Daring Women of the Bible.  Everyone is invited to be part of this discussion group.  Contact Kate Hinchee for information, or just show up.

šŸ” LUNCH BUNCH
Everyone is invited to go out to lunch at 12 noon on the last Tuesday of each month, gathering in a local eatery to enjoy fellowship over lunch.  Let Edna Munson or Sarah Yates know if you have a suggestion for the April 28  get-together and be sure to let them know if you plan to attend so we can make reservations.

šŸ—’ NOTES FROM SESSION
We are looking forward to having grass growing in our Prayer Garden, as we go into the next phase of its development.

Pastor Kirk will begin a monthly activity for teens after Easter.

Session approved use of Gillespie Hall for an AA meeting on Wednesday evenings starting in mid-April.
