MORNING MEDITATION
Morning Meditation will be held on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. in our sanctuary. All are welcome to come for this quiet and healing time – set for about a half-hour length.
š SUNDAY SCHOOL
We want our children to know of Godās love and history of interaction with humanity. Bible stories, lessons on kindness and love, fellowship with other children and so much more are part of Sunday school for ages K-8. Children remain in church through the childrenās sermon, then leave for Sunday school, except on Communion Sundays. Regular Sunday school will begin on Sunday, September 20. We hope your children will all be present to start the new season.
šĀ RICHARD LARAMEE MEMORIAL
Memorial service for Richard Laramee, a longtime member of our church, will be heldĀ on Saturday, September 5, at 11 a.m.Ā in the sanctuary, followed by a light luncheon in Gillespie Hall.Ā Richard was an Elder and served on Session several times through the years. In recent years he has been homebound.
š CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER
Mark your calendars for our annual Christmas in September sale, which is slated for Friday and Saturday, September 25-26, 9 am to 2 pm in Gillespie Hall. If you have Christmas items and/or winter coats and boots, etc. to donate to the thrift shop, please do it ASAP so they can be priced.
Weāll be setting up during the week and could use volunteers, as well as to assist on Friday and Saturday. Our traditional sloppy joes, homemade desserts, coffee and soft drinks will be served in the downstairs dining area on Saturday. There will be tables on the main floor for those who prefer not to use stairs.
šACTS SOUP KITCHEN
Thursday, September 17, will be our turn for hands-on mission service as we prepare the meal for Acts Six Soup Kitchen. We start chopping, cooking, etc. at 11 a.m. until it is ready (usually about 1 p.m.) at 912 North Main (Eagles Lodge).
Let Sarah Yates know if you can volunteer. We team up with Victory Worship Center and they do final prep and serve the meals from 5-7 p.m. This is the 40th year for Soup Kitchen, which started in 1986 in the Gillespie Hall basement.
š NOTES FROM SESSION
We will purchase the printer/copier machine in our office, which will save us money over our current lease arrangement.
The prayer garden looks good, with the grass growing and mulch in the areas which will have plants in them next summer.
The Thrifty Yard Sale is officially part of our Mission program. It is not only a source of low cost (and sometimes free) clothing and household items, but also a place of friendship and acceptance for many people in the local community.
Church operating expenses are higher than income. We encourage our congregation to keep pledges current and perhaps add some extra donations to the church. Session is looking into creating an on-line giving system.

š THRIFTY YARD SALE
The Thrifty Yard Sale is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome to assist with sorting and pricing on weekdays (except Wednesday) and to help move items outdoors on Saturday mornings and put them back after 2 p.m. Donations are accepted on the front porch, but please not on Fridays or when the store is open on Saturdays.

Hankās hour isĀ Tuesday, September 8, at 10 a.m.Ā at BuzzBru. This a a time to enjoy informal conversation over your choices of beverage and goodies. All are welcome.Ā Itās a great time to get caught up with one another, and to bring a friend to get acquainted with church folks.

We clean up a section of a well-traveled road near Brigham City.

Qualified Charitable Distribution(QCDās) fliers are in the back of the sanctuary.
Every household in our congregation should have received the annual Stewardship campaign letter in October. As Session prepares the 2025 budget, it is obvious that costs will increase. Expenses will rise for insurance, utilities, maintenance, and everything else. This past quarter, church income has not met church expenses. Session transferred $10,000 from the Edward Jones stock account to cover those costs. It is hoped that year-end giving will help close our books in the black.
If you didnāt get the mailing you can pick up information at the back table. Cards can be mailed to the church office. They can also be placed in the offering. Alternatively, they can be dropped in the mail slot by the office doors on 300 South.
