MORNING MEDITATION
Morning Meditation will be held on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. in our sanctuary. All are welcome to come for this quiet and healing time – set for about a half-hour length.

AA MEETING
Wednesdays at 7 p.m. – AA meeting downstairs in Gillespie

📖 SUNDAY SCHOOL
We want our children to know of God’s love and history of interaction with humanity. Bible stories, lessons on kindness and love, fellowship with other children and so much more are part of Sunday school for ages K-8. Children remain in church through the children’s sermon, then leave for Sunday school, except on Communion Sundays.

🗒 NOTES FROM SESSION 
We have purchased the printer/copier machine in our office, which will save us money over our current lease arrangement.

The next phase of our prayer garden completion will be the parking area adjoining the garden.

Church operating expenses are higher than income. We encourage our congregation to keep pledges current and perhaps add some extra donations to the church.  Session is looking into creating an on-line giving system.

☕️ HANK’S HOUR
Hank’s hour is Tuesday, October 13, at 10 a.m. at BuzzBru. This is a time to enjoy informal conversation over your choices of beverage and goodies. All are welcome.  It’s a great time to get caught up with one another, and to bring a friend to get acquainted with church folks.

📚 BOOK CLUB
Starting on Thursday, October 1, Book Club will begin meeting again on the first and third, October 15, Thursdays, 4 p.m., in Gillespie Hall.  The book chosen for autumn reading and discussion is  “There’s a Sheep in my Bathtub” by Brian Hogan.  This group is open to everyone – for more information call or text Kate Hinchee

🍝  STEWARDSHIP SPAGHETTI SUNDAY
October is time to kick-off our annual Stewardship drive, and what better than gathering for a meal following worship? On  Sunday, October 11, all are invited to enjoy conversation over spaghetti, salad and breadsticks – plus a brief presentation on Stewardship as we plan to support our church for the coming year. 

🍔 LUNCH BUNCH
Everyone is invited to go out to lunch at 12 noon on the last Tuesday of each month. This month it will be Firehouse Pizza, gathering on October 27.  Let Edna Munson or Sarah Yates know if you plan to attend so we can make reservations.

WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY
Sunday, October 4, is World Communion Sunday, a day when Christian churches around the world celebrate the Lord’s Supper. 

Lord, we thank you for the gift of this global table where all are welcome, and none are strangers.  As we eat this bread and drink this cup, we pray that you will make us one in you, regardless of our languages, cultures or circumstances.  Amen.

In observance of this day, we encourage all in our congregation to donate breads to be placed on the Communion table – homemade or purchased, sourdough, rye, tortillas, naan, pita, cornbread, etc. During our after-church fellowship, we are invited to purchase one of these breads, with proceeds to be donated to the World Communion Offering. 

⏰ CHURCH OFFICE HOURS
Pastor Kirk and our church secretary, Raylene van Leeuwen, are in the church office in Gillespie Hall on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. If you have announcements or other information for the church bulletin, please have these turned in by 9 a.m. Thursday.  The office number is 435-723-6262 and the email address is cpcbcoffice@gmail.com. 

HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP
We clean up a section of a well-traveled road near Brigham City.
We meet on 900 North in Brigham City around 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday.

BIBLE DEVOTIONAL FOR SENIORS
Periodically, we visit local care centers to share hymns and devotionals with residents.
